UNICEF Yemen in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and The Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood will be organizing a National Symposium on Child Poverty and Disparities from 24-25th November 2008 in Sana'a, Yemen.
The symposium will serve to:
• Raise awareness on recent thinking on child poverty and implications on MDG1 and long-term development,
• Share current initiatives addressing child poverty and well-being,
• Examine strategies for improvements to the current situation that ensure holistic child development.
