In 2007 Macedonia conducted a comprehensive Child Poverty Study. The approach of the study was to describe broad dimensions of poverty by analyzing three types of data, namely official statistical data (such as household surveys and demographical surveys), data gathered from a 2006 survey on health behaviour in School Aged Children and lastly by analyzing qualitative data.
Although the study is not part of the Global Study on Child Poverty it will prove a useful reference for countries participating in the Global Study, in particular their incorporation of qualitative research in the study.
