Panama Meeting on June 30th- July 1st, 2008

Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua as well as Bolivia via video conference, participated in the Regional Technical Workshop in Panama on June 30 and July 1. The meeting’s objectives were to share experiences and each country’s progress and to strengthen the partnerships within the region in implementing the study. Overall, most of the country teams started completing the template in collaboration with their respective governments. At the meeting, each country presented the progress and constraints of the study. The regional teams also engaged in a technical discussion on the possibilities and limitations of measuring child poverty and disparities. As follow up items, agreements were made on the methodology, a timetable, and questions for future discussion. To see the full report, click here.
